Earth Electrical will issue an Electrical Installation Condition Report, showing any noted damage, defects, deterioration, dangerous situations and any non-compliances with the present-day British Standard that might give rise to danger. We will also automatically present a quotation listing the correction work required.
An Electrical Condition Report should be carried out by a Qualified Electrician carrying the right City in Guilds Qualification, (City in Guilds 2391), which is the Test and Inspect qualification. They should also have Public indemnity Insurance. Andrew Parker of Earth Electrical is qualified to 2391 and carries public indemnity Insurance.
Earth Electrical check the condition of the electrical circuits and related switch and control equipment against the British Standards for safety for continued use. The Inspection will:

Any alterations to circuits will be checked to make sure they have been done correctly (Extensions, new kitchen Electrics, new bathroom Electrics and so on).
The inspection and Tests will take into account:
The adequacy of earthing from the supply, on circuits and pipe work.
The suitability of the Circuit Breakers, Fuses and control Equipment.
The co ordination between Circuit Breakers/Fuses and wiring.
The type of wiring system within the installation, its suitability and its condition.
The fixing, routing and zoning of cables.
Condition and function of Switches, Sockets, Light Fittings and control equipment.
External influences, such as water on any electrical points.
Checks to see if there are any exposed live Electrical wires within the installation.
The extent of any wear and tear, damage or other deterioration to the Electrical Installation
The compliance of any alterations to the property.
The presence of identification of live parts and notices.
It is important that the Inspection covers all aspects of Inspection and testing to make sure the Installation is safe for use.
